2012 Free Flight European Championships in Italy

Call for Team Manager and Assistant Team Manager

The 2012 free flight European Championships will be held during August in Italy. The British Team needs a Team manager and Assistant Team Manager and applications for these posts are needed by 30th November (the official advertisement will be included in the next edition of BMFA News). These are key roles which the British team depend on to ensure their trip runs smoothly and they have the best possible opportunity for success.  If you have experience of major international events and the expertise to manage a team and help them to success the FFTC would very much like to hear from you.

The role of the Team manager is to plan the trip, arrange team travel arrangements, ensure team and equipment arrive safely and on time as well as ensuring the general wellbeing of the team during the championships. The Manager must liaise with the championship organisers and be responsible for resolving any disputes or issues. The Manager is to provide support to the Assistant team Manager on the flight line.

The Assistant Team Manager is primarily responsible for team practice and contest flight line activities as well as assisting the Team Manager. He must ensure that each team member is prepared and supported to make the best possible chance of success both individually and for the team. He must be able to deputise for the Team manager when needed.
