Organisation
The Federation AeronautiqueInternational (FAI) is the world-wide governing body for all forms of sporting aviation. Its “Aeromodelling Commission” (CIAM) deals with Model Flying. Information from the CIAM Free Flight Sub-Committee of the FAI is available from the FAI web site. Its current chairman is the UK member Ian Kaynes. The FAI is represented in the UK by the Royal Aero Club who in turn delegates the responsibilities for the sport of Model Flying to the BRITISH MODEL FLYING ASSOCIATION (BMFA).
The BMFA numbers
over 35000
members,
with more than 640 affiliated clubs. Some of these clubs are entirely
Free
Flight based, while others have Free Flight sections. In addition there
are
other groups and affiliated organisations devoted to specific Free
Flight
disciplines. If you would like more information about the Association's

The FFTC is part of
the
BMFA. It is
responsible for Free Flight Model Flying in the UK including organising
the
yearly programme of competitions and setting the rules for them. A list

divided into regional areas. Most of these have Free Flight
contacts who
can be found on the list following the FFTC contacts. Here you can find
